A South Tampa Venue with Historic Charm

Located in South Tampa, The Orlo House & Ballroom is a gorgeous timeless venue and private club. Originally built in the early 20th century, the venue maintains classic architecture, with stunning arches, columns, and high ceilings. The venue features both indoor and outdoor spaces that provide a variety of backdrops for your ceremony and reception.

The venue’s outdoor garden is perfect for a romantic ceremony beneath the sun or stars and many ceremonies have taken place on the staircase outside the house. Inside, the reception space is the epitome of elegance with its sweeping chandeliers, polished wooden floors, and intricate detailing. Simple, but beautiful. It’s a gorgeous home and you can feel the history in every corner.

History of The Orlo House

The Orlo House’s history adds a layer of rich character to its design. The Orlo House was built in 1896, by Orlo J. Spafford for his family. The house was then sold to the Tampa’s Women’s Club in 1922 and became a hit spot for parties and dances. Now, that historical ballroom is available for your wedding or event. From its stunning architecture to its beautifully preserved details, the venue evokes a sense of nostalgia and luxury that transports guests back in time while still providing modern conveniences for today’s couples. It’s one of my favorite Tampa wedding venues for that reason!
