I adore working with Yisel and Colin! I recently photographed them for their Hollis Garden wedding portraits and now, they’ve had their wedding reception! Yisel and Colin were married privately, but they knew that they’d still want to celebrate with their loved ones. So, they planned their Rusty Pelican Tampa wedding reception and it was just lovely! The perfect way to share their joy and married life with their favorite people. 

Their Love Story & Wedding Day

Yisel and Colin met through work – while living in different cities. When visiting Tampa for a project, Colin immediately fell in love with Yisel and their love story began. After relocating to Tampa, their relationship quickly flourished and before they knew it, their wedding was upon them. Yisel and Colin wanted to keep their actual ceremony private – and intimate, just for them. But, it was important to plan a time for portraits (which we did at Hollis Gardens) and then a time to celebrate with those who love them most. I love that they chose to do what made sense for them, and what they really wanted. It’s a beautiful reminder that we do not have to follow anything that the wedding industry says. Create a wedding day that is meaningful to you as a couple. Those are the best celebrations! 

Rusty Pelican Tampa Wedding Reception

To celebrate their nuptials, Yisel and Colin planned a reception at the Rusty Pelican Tampa. This gorgeous spot is right on the water – which provides beautiful views all day long. Their event space and staff is fantastic, creating a party that is everything you dreamed of. Yisel and Colin planned a beautiful and intimate affair – featuring an ivory and gold palette, which looked dreamy in the blue and white reception room! They had a chance to mingle with guests, have their first dance, cut a delicious cake, and just relax together as a happy married couple!! It was wonderful. 

Yisel and Colin, thank you for allowing me to be a part of your celebration – in both parts. I am so happy I had the chance to document the start of this chapter for your family. Congratulations and I am wishing you all of the love and happiness in the world!
