Isabella and Mikhail are getting married! To celebrate their relationship in Tampa, we planned a romantic beach engagement session at Fort De Soto beach. We lucked out with the most beautiful sunset and day to celebrate Isabella and Mikhail. I absolutely love them both – they’re so much fun and are so in love. They made my job incredibly easy! I was able to capture their session on both film and digitally, which was amazing too! The beach just lent itself so well to film.

Their Love Story

Isabella and Mikhail met while they were in college, but didn’t date then. Instead, they were friends, hanging out with their mutual friends – but not really in the same circle. During 2020, Isabella and Mikhail reconnected and it turned out that they’d both thought about dating each other in college. Isabella and Mikhail decided it was time to take a chance and the first time they hung out, they knew they’d come across something serious. 

The Proposal 

Isabella’s sister visited them in Tampa, so they had brunch. But, during the meal, her sister said she wasn’t feeling well, and asked to go back to her apartment. She told Isabella to relax and stay with Mikhail. Turned out, she had been helping Mikhail plan the proposal! While Isabella and Mikhail finished brunch, her sister and Mikhail’s sister were setting up a proposal on Davis Island. They laid out a blanket, sign and a nice picnic for Isabella and Mikhail. After Isabella said “yes”, Isabella and Mikhail enjoyed a dinner with their families. Everyone came into town to surprise Isabella. It was perfect! 

Fort De Soto Beach Engagement 

Since Isabella and Mikhail had been engaged on the beach, planning a beach engagement session seemed like a no brainer! Tampa is full of so many gorgeous beaches and we really lucked out with the day we got at Fort De Soto. Isabella chose a beautiful off-the-shoulder white gown to wear and Mikhail looked perfect in his blue and khaki outfit. They were amazing – willing to lay on the beach, walk in the surf, and just enjoy the evening together. 

I’m so excited for you, Isabella and Mikhail! I can’t wait for your wedding day here in Florida. Without a doubt, I know it’s going to be beautiful.
