I absolutely adored working with Michael and Jessica during their Tampa engagement session and getting to know them and their love story a bit more! We met up in Davis Island in Tampa to kick off their engagement session. I love the incredible architecture of this building and it was the perfect place for their Tampa engagement session.

Their Love Story

Jessica and Michael are actually new to Tampa, moving here recently for work. They met in St. Louis in 2020 and in 2023, they had a chance to travel to Paris. During their dinner cruise, Michael proposed to Jessica. Although there had been signs it was going to happen, Jessica was still surprised (and Michael still nervous!). But, it all worked out – and they even had a photographer on board to capture this pecial moment for them!

Davis Island Engagement Session

One of the reasons I love working around Davis Island is the beautiful beachy architecture. This building has the most gorgeous colored archways and walls. It’s a great backdrop for couples! For Michael and Jessica, we were really able to lean into their fun and romantic sides exploring the space. We explored and I encouraged Michael and Jessica to cuddle up on the steps and just enjoy the afternoon together. They were naturals!

Tampa Engagement Session at Fort De Soto

We also capture part of the session at Fort de Soto beach. Michael and Jessica enjoyed a picnic and some champagne on the Tampa sands. I love that we were able to capture this gorgeous natural setting in addition to the charm of the architecture around Davis Island. Creating variety in final galleries is always important to me!
