Chantel and Merrick are getting married! The soon-to-be newlyweds moved recently to Tampa and meeting up for their Curtis Hixon Park engagement session in Downtown Tampa was about more than just capturing engagement photos before their wedding day. It was a celebration of their new chapter of life beginning together in the same city! I absolutely adored working with Chantel and Merrick. They’re stylish, fun, and so in love! 

Curtis Hixon Park Engagement Session

Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park is a gorgeous park located along the Hillsborough river in downtown Tampa, so I knew it would be a great spot for Chantel and Merrick’s portraits. We could enjoy the breeze from the waterfront and capture all of those city vibes they love so much. Chantel’s red dress popped against the city skyline perfectly – and they both looked amazing cuddling up together around the park. 

Inspiration for Downtown Tampa Engagement Session 

Chantel and Merrick are absolutely incredible people and together, a definite power couple. It was important for them to celebrate their love story in Tampa, FL. During their session, we wanted to make sure we showcased some of the important landmarks in the city. Between Curtis Hixon Park and some of the other downtown storefronts, we had a great time exploring the city they love. They both looked incredible throughout our session, too!
